BofA Offers Free Entry to 250 Museums Over July 4th Weekend
Bank of America is expanding its Museums on Us program to 250 cultural institutions across 43 states and 158 cities for July 4th weekend, giving eligible Bank of America, Merrill, and Bank of America Private Bank cardholders free general admission to participating sites.
The expansion marks the country's 250th anniversary and builds on what the bank describes as a long-running commitment to cultural access.
Beyond the cardholder programme, a series of local commitments accompany the national activation. In Washington DC, a BofA grant is extending National Archives operating hours to 10pm nightly through July 5, allowing more visitors to see the Declaration of Independence during its anniversary year.
In Philadelphia, the bank is supporting The Declaration's Journey at the Museum of the American Revolution and the Wawa Welcome America Festival. In New York, BofA has committed to raising $500,000 and matching it for a total of $1 million in support of the Intrepid Museum's mission.
The largest single commitment is a $5 million founding gift to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, opening July 4 in Medora, North Dakota, which will cover the Roosevelt presidency, conservation, and civic responsibility. The bank has also funded the conservation of 110 presidential portraits at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery through its Art Conservation Project. Separately, BofA partnered with Vet Tix to provide thousands of free FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets to veterans, active military, and first responders.
