Square UK Puts Restaurants at the Center of Its New Strategy
Snapshot:
Square has launched its 2025 “Big In Restaurants” campaign, showcasing its growing investment in the UK’s food and drink sector. The campaign highlights real restaurant success stories, including Birmingham’s Eko, which opened three locations in a year, and Manchester’s Ezra and Gil, which halved queue times using Square’s technology. Designed to tackle operational challenges, the campaign emphasizes Square’s suite of products—from self-service kiosks to real-time kitchen displays—that streamline processes and give time back to business owners.
Central to the messaging is Square’s goal of economic empowerment through tools that handle everything from online bookings to loyalty programs and stock control. Research from Square found time scarcity is a major barrier for hospitality operators, with many losing valuable hours to admin instead of business growth. “Big In Restaurants” positions Square as a partner that simplifies workflows through automation and insights, helping sellers focus on customer experience.
The campaign spans TV, radio, social, and out-of-home media, with storytelling that centers on the voices of actual business owners. Marketing Director Visha Kudhail called the industry “challenging but optimistic,” and emphasized Square’s ability to “supercharge growth” through intuitive design. The campaign also reinforces Square’s value in point-of-sale, payments, reporting, and instant transfers—key functions in the hospitality sector. Ultimately, Square aims to be more than a tech provider: a trusted growth partner for UK restaurateurs in 2025 and beyond.
