Reddit has launched Community Intelligence, a generative AI-powered platform that transforms 20 years of human conversations into performance tools for marketers. Debuted at Cannes Lions, the product includes Reddit Insights, a social-listening engine that analyzes sentiment and language across billions of user posts.

Early testing with Publicis for clients like Hershey and Comcast suggests the platform helps uncover valuable consumer insights. One new feature, Conversation Summary Add-ons, places Reddit user commentary directly beneath ads and has driven click-through rates 19% higher than standard image ads.

Reddit reports that its platform is a top destination for authentic information, with 88% of social media users consulting it for purchase decisions.

Posts on Reddit often remain active in AI search results for years, especially when they mention specific brands. A single positive post per week is correlated with a 1% rise in site traffic, and ads on Reddit show strong synergy with broader media plans.

TransUnion’s modeling found that Reddit ads return nearly $7 for every dollar spent in tech campaigns. The platform has also partnered with OpenAI, providing training data and developing AI features for users and advertisers alike. With strategic backing from Advance Publications and other major investors, Reddit appears to be solidifying its role as both a community and a high-performance marketing engine.
