Lincoln Financial's Content Series Puts Retirement in Motion

Snapshot
Lincoln Financial has launched a four-part content series called The Action Plan, featuring wellness advocate Rich Roll and guests like Andre Agassi, Sarah True, and Morgan Housel. The series is part of a larger campaign to shift public perception of retirement from a phase of rest to one of renewed purpose and activity.

A national survey revealed that 77% of Americans in their 50s and 60s view retirement as a chance to pursue passions they lacked time for during working years, but only 11% had financially planned for those hobbies. The series explores this gap through real conversations and activities, such as Agassi teaching Roll to play pickleball and reflecting on how financial planning is essential for athletes whose careers end early.

Each episode highlights wellness, purpose, and the role of financial security in sustaining both. Roll, who typically doesn’t discuss finance on his podcast, sees this partnership as a way to address a growing concern among his aging listeners.

Lincoln Financial’s CMO Kathy Kavanaugh emphasizes that retirement is no longer about slowing down, but about unlocking more of life. Director Lucy Walker brought the project to life with the same cinematic energy she’s brought to sports documentaries in the past. From personal stories to financial planning,

The Action Plan is designed to empower Americans to prepare for a retirement filled with movement, creativity, and joy. The series adds momentum to Lincoln’s goal of making financial well-being synonymous with lifelong fulfillment.
