Cvent Rebrands for the First Time in 25 Years
Cvent has rebranded for the first time in its 25-year history and announced a $1 billion investment in technology, AI, and product development over the next three years. Both announcements were made at Cvent CONNECT in Nashville, the company's annual customer conference, which drew nearly 5,000 in-person attendees, the largest gathering in the event's history.
The rebrand was developed with Wolff Olins and drew on more than 1,500 external inputs. It is built around what Cvent calls the Presence Premium, the argument that as AI makes content and outreach increasingly scalable, in-person events become more valuable rather than less.
Cvent-commissioned research found 81% of respondents reported higher audience trust following an in-person event and 85% said AI-generated content has made trust harder to build. Separate Forrester Consulting research found 70% of business leaders believe events have become more important as AI-generated content becomes more prevalent.
Speaking to Business Travel News at the event, CEO Reggie Aggarwal said the rebrand signals a company that has fundamentally changed in scale, scope, and AI orientation since its founding in 2000. The $1 billion commitment covers the next six to 12 months with high visibility, he said, with the market expected to shape the roadmap beyond that. Alongside the rebrand, Cvent launched the Cvent Center for Event Insights, a new thought leadership function focused on research at the intersection of events, hospitality, and technology.
Cvent's billion-dollar bet is really an argument about trust, and it's one the event marketing world is already testing in practice. See how leaders from Franklin Templeton, Money20/20, and Vested are putting that same question to work at our recent event Moments That Matter: The Power of Event Marketing.
