Credit One Parodies ‘Love Island’ Reunion for Credit Literacy
Credit One Bank has launched a two-part reunion for its parody dating show You're the Credit One for Me, hosted by Andy Cohen and premiering during the Love Island USA Season 9 reunion on Peacock.
The reunion features JaNa Craig alongside original contestants Alex, Brad, and Jackson, with Cohen pressing the cast on the credit habits that shaped the season's eliminations and the current status of JaNa and Alex's relationship.
The original series, which launched this spring, accumulated 178 million combined views across JaNa Craig's and Credit One Bank's social channels. Each episode followed JaNa eliminating contestants for poor credit habits, using the dating show format to make credit literacy entertaining and memorable. The reunion is framed as a natural next step for a campaign that has generated genuine audience engagement rather than passive impressions.
Grounded in data, a Credit One Bank survey found significant gaps in credit knowledge among US adults who own credit cards: 72% were unaware a missed payment can stay on their credit report for up to seven years, 65% did not know the recommended credit utilisation ceiling is 30%, and 70% were unaware they should keep their oldest accounts open and active. The campaign turns those gaps into storylines rather than infographics.
