Green Dot’s Alison Lubert: AI Search Demands One Brand Story

Published on October 22, 2026

At Money20/20 in Las Vegas, Alison Lubert, head of corporate communications and B2B marketing at Green Dot, spoke with Financial Narrative’s Ashley Jones about running marketing and communications as one team. Lubert said AI search makes a single integrated story more important, since inconsistent messages cost a brand control of its narrative.

Green Dot announced about a year ago that it had entered agreements to be acquired. Lubert said the transition calls for proactive communication with employees, partners, and customers, even when there is no new update to share.

For 2027, she said fraud is a top priority for Green Dot, and one the industry has to tackle together, including by sharing data with competitors.
