Ann Bair Named Chief Marketing Officer at Nationwide

Nationwide has appointed Ann Bair as Chief Marketing Officer, where she will oversee brand and marketing strategy, advertising, creative services, social media, and corporate communications. In this role, she will continue to champion Nationwide’s ‘On Your Side’ promise across customers, partners, communities, and associates.

Before stepping into the CMO role, she led marketing efforts for Nationwide’s retirement plans, life insurance, annuities, mutual funds, and corporate solutions businesses, focusing on brand awareness, acquisition, and retention. Previously, as Chief Digital Officer, she spearheaded digital strategy, marketing technology, user experience, social media, and chatbot innovations.

Prior to Nationwide, Bair held leadership roles at Abbott Laboratories, Procter & Gamble, and Borden, Inc., where she gained deep expertise in business unit leadership, P&L management, and sales collaboration.

A magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of DePauw University, Bair also serves on nonprofit boards, including Franklin Park Conservatory and Ohio History Connection, where she helped secure UNESCO World Heritage status for key historic sites in Ohio.
