Reach and Representation: JPMorganChase Adds A’ja Wilson to Campaign

JPMorganChase has introduced WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson to its “Cashback Like a Pro” campaign, joining longtime spokespeople Stephen Curry and Kevin Hart in a move to broaden representation and appeal. According to Chase Freedom GM Wittney Rachlin, Wilson’s inclusion rounds out the basketball trio with a gender-balanced and culturally resonant presence.

The spot humorously settles the “greatest cashbacker of all time” debate, with Wilson ultimately outplaying both Curry and Hart on court and in rewards. Wilson's addition also supports Chase’s growing commitment to women’s sports, which includes a founding sponsorship of the Golden State Valkyries.

Rachlin said Wilson was a natural choice—not just for her athletic accolades but for her authenticity and entrepreneurial spirit. The relationship began earlier this year during NBA All-Star Weekend and was publicly launched during the NCAA Women’s Final Four.

Beyond the ad, JPMorganChase may deepen its partnership to support Wilson’s foundation for children with dyslexia and bullying challenges. The campaign doubles as a strategy to reach customers through their passions, integrating Chase into key cultural and sports moments. With NBA and WNBA seasons overlapping, the timing aims to capture the attention of both fanbases and unlock access to a more diverse and engaged audience.
