U.S. Bank Swings Big with Netflix’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Sponsorship

U.S. Bank has announced a prominent brand partnership with Happy Gilmore 2, the sequel to the cult-classic golf comedy. As part of the collaboration, the bank sponsors the fictional “Tour Championship” featured in the film, with its logo also appearing on the caddy bib of lead character Happy Gilmore.

The integration extends beyond the screen, including a TV commercial starring golf pro Collin Morikawa and original film announcers Verne Lundquist and Jack Beard. The ad will run across U.S. Bank’s regular media channels and within Netflix’s ad-supported tier.

This co-marketing effort is designed to reach affluent Gen X and millennial viewers who engage with sports and pop culture, and spotlights U.S. Bank as a stable, modern financial partner.

CMO Michael Lacorazza said the partnership strengthens emotional connections with new and existing customers through culture and entertainment. Netflix’s VP of brand marketing, Magno Herran, praised the campaign’s humor and heart.
