Citi is back in the premium credit card market with its new Citi Strata Elite and a national campaign starring Kristen Bell. The launch ends a five-year hiatus and signals a refreshed strategy to capture affluent consumers seeking high rewards and lifestyle perks.
Developed with Publicis Groupe’s bespoke unit P1T, the campaign went beyond advertising with agency and brand jointly shaped the product’s name, features, and benefits. The creative concept, That’s the Point, pairs Bell’s light comedic tone with messaging that simplifies the value of travel and dining rewards. Executives from both Citi and Publicis say the process blurred traditional lines between marketing and product design, creating a model for brand-agency collaboration.
The campaign runs across TV, streaming, digital, and out-of-home, underscoring Citi’s renewed stake in the competitive premium card segment.
