As we begin a new month, Financial Narrative is off to a running start with research data, community moves, and networking opportunities across the financial marcomms landscape.

Last week, the findings and trends forecast from our latest Financial Marketers’ Index were presented by lead researchers Giulia P. and Alexa Nightingale of Opinium. Binna Kim, Group CEO and Co-Founder of Vested - Communications Agency, hosted our virtual roundtable of panelists: Alyssa Gilmore, Global Head of Comms, Financial Products at Bloomberg LP, David Blackburn, Head of Digital Marketing at ProShares, Elliott Bundy, CCO & CMO of Acrisure, and Michael Marinello, Head of Communication and Content at Aon. Data highlights:
- Changing the image/positioning of their company is a key strategic priority for C-suite financial marcoms leaders, with over 80% highlighting the increased need to communicate their company’s key value proposition and trustworthiness
- With resources in short supply, 43% of survey respondents are struggling with too many responsibilities for their existing teams
- 2022 saw the continuation of a concerning trend: the drop in strategic partnerships between marcomms leaders and executives. Only 44% said they are often asked to participate in C-suite meetings, down from 51% in 2020
