Fast Company Recognizes Two Pioneering Fintech Apps

Snapshot: Fast Company’s 2024 Innovation by Design Awards spotlighted two innovative campaigns in finance and social impact. 

  • Mastercard, in collaboration with McCann Worldgroup, won in the finance category for its "Where to Settle" app, designed to assist Ukrainian refugees in finding suitable locations in Poland by leveraging local data and Mastercard's resources. The app aided over 20% of the 1.5 million refugees in Polands. The campaign was also awarded Grand Prix at Cannes Lion in 2023.

  • Guideline, recognized in the midsize business category, developed a mobile app designed to minimize user engagement while ensuring effective management of retirement plans. Their approach reflects a shift towards creating tools that provide critical updates and insights without encouraging excessive use. Both winners exemplify how targeted technology can drive significant social and financial outcomes.
